14 DAY TRIAL // Today seems to be a big day for Samsung, as the South Korean giant has released the Galaxy C5 as well as the Galaxy C7. Only a few hours before the official release, Samsung passed the TENAA certification in China, which revealed some specs.
The Samsung Galaxy C7 comes with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display and 1080x1920 (FHD) pixel resolution. The screen is significantly larger than that of the Samsung Galaxy C5.
It also has Snapdragon 625 SoC with the Adreno 506 graphics processing unit. The processor and GPU are significantly more powerful than the Galaxy C5's Snapdragon 617 and Adreno 405.
The smartphone comes in two variants, one with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage while the second has 64GB of storage. Up to 128GB of memory can be added using a microSD card. It comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button.
Galaxy C7 comes with a 3,300 mAh battery and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0
Galaxy C7 runs Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 and supports Dual SIM. It has a rear camera of 16MP with dual-tone LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. The front camera has the same aperture and 8MP capacity. The phone draws power from a 3,300 mAh battery, and it has Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
The device also comes with multiple connectivity options, like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 + 5GHz), Bluetooth v 4.2, GPS and NFC.
Galaxy C7 measures 156.6×77.2×6.7 mm and weighs 165 grams. Just like the Galaxy C5, this handset is available in multiple color options, including gold, pink gold, silver, and grey.
It was released in China first, and at this point, it’s unclear if and when Samsung will make it available to other markets as well. Galaxy C7 is priced at $396 (€354) for the 32GB variant and $427 (€382) for the 64GB version.
