We reported to you a few days ago that Samsung planned to launch a new series of smartphones, which would come out in the next couple of months. Two devices are expected to be announced in the C-series, and both seem to be high-end devices: Samsung C5 and C7.

Today, information about one of the two unannounced handsets has just popped up in China, where Samsung C7 has been listed on AnTuTu benchmark. The next step for the device is to be certified at TENAA, so we will know for sure what part of the info is accurate.

First of all, it looks like Samsung C7 is a high-end smartphone, even though it won’t be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor.

According to the screenshots posted on Weibo, the handset will pack a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, coupled with an Adreno 506 graphics processing unit and no less than 4GB of RAM.

The smartphone will include 32GB of storage, but we can safely assume that Samsung will also add a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

On the back, Samsung C7 will boast a powerful 16-megapixel photo snapper whereas on the front there should be a secondary 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

There’s no mention of the phone’s display size, but the benchmark states it will support full HD (1080p) resolution. We believe Samsung C7 will sport a slightly larger display than the C5, which will come with a 5.2-inch screen.

Another useful piece of information revealed in the benchmark is the fact that Samsung C7 will ship with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box.

We have yet to learn anything about the handset’s battery and display size, but also whether or not Samsung has decided to finally include USB Type-C port in one of its smartphones.
