Samsung mobile payment system is not yet available in all countries, but the South Korean company is determined to bring it to additional markets each month.

Even so, Samsung Pay is not compatible with all Samsung smartphones, not to mention that it doesn't feature support for smartphones launched by other OEMs.

But that's about to change according to a new report coming from South Korea. The report claims Samsung plans to pre-install its mobile payment service on just about any smartphone that it launches on the market.

On top of that, the South Korean handset maker wants to bring Samsung Pay to even more Android devices, which is why it will make it available to other OEMs via a dedicated app. The application will be released in the Google Play store, so anyone can download and install it for free.

Samsung Pay is supposed to come pre-installed on Samsung smartphones starting 2017, while the application will be released sometime next year.

A Samsung official has confirmed this week that his company has decided to put Samsung Pay on select smartphones beginning 2017: “We have decided to pre-install Samsung Pay in Samsung Electronics’ smartphones to be released from next year.”

The move comes in line with earlier statements coming from Koh Dong-jin, president of the mobile business division at Samsung Electronics, who said back in August that “when reducing costs, we think that fingerprint sensors can be installed from medium-priced products. We are considering mounting fingerprint sensors from the Galaxy J series.”

Basically, this means that Samsung Pay is likely to be included even on entry-level Samsung smartphones, if the necessary hardware is available.

It remains to be seen whether or not other OEMs will embrace Samsung's mobile payment service and allow customers to download the application made available on Google Play store.
