Last week, Samsung started rolling out the forth Nougat beta update for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge phones, part of the Galaxy Beta program. The two devices are among the few phone models that run Android 7.0 Nougat.

Last week’s update came with some changes, including bug fixes and stability improvements, aside from a change regarding the Samsung Notes app. Samsung Notes is currently available in the Google Play Store and Galaxy Apps store, and it has received an update to Nougat.

Samsung also decided to no longer provide the Samsung Notes app as a pre-installed app and urged users to back up their data before installing the forth update.

The fifth Android Nougat beta update brings a couple of fixes

Now, it seems that Samsung has started pushing out another Android Nougat update to the Galaxy S7 edge, this one containing some important fixes, according to SamMobile. The changelog specifies that the fifth Android Nougat beta update brings a fix to intermittent rebooting issues that have affected some Galaxy S7 edge users.

Aside from this, the changelog mentions that the new update brings bug fixes and stability improvements, but no specific details were mentioned. Samsung does say that it will continue to work on fixing remaining bugs, but doesn't specifically mention which.

In order to update your Galaxy S7 edge, simply head to the Settings menu, access Software Updates and tap on Software manual download. As usual, the update is only available for users in the Galaxy Beta program, designed to spot and fix any issues with pre-release software before making it available to all users. Recently, Samsung has announced that it will bring 7.0 Nougat to the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Tab S2, but it remains to be seen when that will happen.
