No slot for fingerprint sensor on the back side, though

We reported last week about the first Samsung Galaxy S8 concepts made by various designers, and now it looks like case makers have started to leak information about the upcoming flagship.

After Ghostek published earlier today a picture showing the alleged Atomic 3 waterproof case for the Samsung Galaxy S8, a new case of the smartphone has been leaked online.

An image of a back cover of the flagship has been published on Slashleaks, your every day site for the newest leaks in the smartphone industry. The person that posted the image has a great track of leaks with a 99% accuracy, which suggests the case is indeed real and not just a concept or a fake one.

Even so, the case doesn't tell us too many things about the Galaxy S8, aside from a couple of details that we've already known about. For example, the design of the case confirms once again that Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature a single lens camera, not a dual-camera setup.

Both 3.5mm audio jack and USB Type-C ports are included

In addition, Samsung won't ditch the 3.5mm audio jack, as the smartphone comes with both USB Type-C port and audio jack on the bottom side. The left side features the two volume keys and the power on/off button.

Even though one of the most recent reports claimed the Galaxy S8 could pack a fingerprint sensor on the back side, right below the main camera, the case does not confirm this information.

Since the Galaxy S8 will not feature a physical Home button any longer, the fingerprint sensor will be positioned underneath the display. Obviously, the rear-facing camera will come with LED flash as well, and the design of the case shows the slot for it too.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S8 in February at Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade fair, but the smartphone might not be available on the market until April 18.
