It’s clear that Samsung won’t be unveiling the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus during MWC 2017, as it did with predecessors in the series. The two smartphones will undergo rigorous testing before prepping them for shipping, which would explain why Samsung delayed the announcement to March 29.

We’ve spotted lots of renders, concept images and even cases for the Galaxy S8, which gave us an idea of what the phone would look like. A few days ago, Evan Blass leaked the first live image of the Galaxy S8 and started a whole discussion about the placement of the fingerprint sensor.

Now, the clearest renders of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus surfaced at MySmartPrice in collaboration with reputable tipster @OnLeaks, showing off the phone from all angles. The images were also compiled in a video. These aren’t live pictures of the phone, but they do confirm previous rumors and offer a clear and crisp image of the new device.

The fingerprint scanner is placed on the back, next to the rear camera, but some say that Samsung can still change the position of the sensor. Needless to say, we’re impatiently waiting for the MWC 2017, during which Samsung is expected to stream a one-minute video of the new phone, but we’re certain that it won’t reveal the full specs list or the design in all of its glory.

While we wait, we do know that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will most likely have a glass-and-metal design, with dual-edge Super AMOLED displays of 5.7 or 5.8 inches for the standard model and 6.1 or 6.2 inches for the larger variant. Pixel resolution is said to be 2560 x 1440 and the display will be covered by Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The Galaxy S8 will measure 148.90 x 68 x 8 mm, while the S8 Plus 159 x 74 x 8 mm. Iris scanner, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack are expected to be featured on both phones, while power and volume rockers will be placed on the left side. The right side will house an additional physical button, said to activate Samsung’s voice assistant, Bixby.

The rear camera capacity might reach 12MP with dual-pixel, phase-detection, f/1.7 aperture, OIS, Auto HDR and 4K recording, while the front camera will have 8MP, the same aperture and QHD video recording.

The phone will run Exynos 8895 or Snapdragon 835 SoC, with 4GB or 6GB of RAM, depending on the region, while internal memory will reach 64GB with the option to expand to 256GB with a microSD card. Battery capacity is said to be 3,250mAh for the Galaxy S8 and 3,600mAh for the S8 Plus, while the two phones will both run Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
