South Korean company Samsung has already confirmed it will launch its new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S7, at the Unpacked 2016 event scheduled for February 21.

Samsung's flagships for the first half of the year have always been announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade fair in late February or early March.

However, the smartphones don't usually hit shelves until April at the earliest, so customers still have to wait a few more months to get their devices.

This year, Samsung plans to make the Galaxy S7 available on the market slightly earlier. According to the latest hearsay, the handset and all its variations will be available for purchase beginning February.

If the Galaxy S7 is unveiled on February 21, Samsung will have less than two weeks to start taking pre-orders for the smartphone. The real question is when exactly the first shipments will be sent to their destinations.

Multiple operators will carry the flagship smartphone

Now new information coming from leakster @evleaks claims that Samsung Galaxy S7 will arrive in the United States on March 11.

Basically, this means that the Galaxy S7 will be initially launched in countries other than the US in February, but it won't take long for the smartphone to jump the pond.

There's no word on price yet, and we're still not sure whether the information refers to the official launch of the Galaxy S7 in the United States or the actual availability of the device.

Either way, we can safely assume the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be available on most major carriers in the US. It remains to be seen how many operators will launch the smartphone around the same timeframe.

It's also unclear whether or not Samsung will launch both Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge in the United States since the information mentions only the first.
