14 DAY TRIAL // We've been able to compare Samsung's Galaxy S6 and not-yet-released Galaxy S7 smartphones in the last couple of days thanks to the official press renders leaked online.
For the most part, the flagships strongly resemble one another, but there's a minor detail that some may not have noticed yet.
It looks like the Galaxy S7's back side will be slightly curved just like the Galaxy Note 5. One thing that will set them apart, though, is the fact that Galaxy S7 will be curved at the top and bottom edges as well, whereas the Galaxy Note 5's curves are only on the right and left edges.
That's one minor detail that we couldn't have noticed from the official press renders leaked by @evleaks a few days ago.
However, this design trait is noticeable in the latest schematic published by @OnLeaks, which should resemble the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S7 top sides.
Another schematic leaked by the same source shows us that Galaxy S7's camera is still protruding, even though Samsung has decided to go with a smaller module camera.
Previous rumors claimed Samsung would include a 12-megapixel camera on the back of the Galaxy S7, which should remove the camera hump that we've already got used to in the last couple of years.
However, it looks like the addition of a smaller module will not remove the camera hump entirely from the Galaxy S7, but at least it will be much thinner.
Galaxy S7's camera hump is almost imperceptible
According to the image we've attached below, Samsung Galaxy S7's camera hump will be 0.8mm thick. In comparison, Galaxy S6's camera hump is no less than 1.7mm thick.
Although 0.8mm is almost imperceptible, many will probably blame Samsung for not being able to remove the hump completely especially that one of the reasons the South Korean company chose a 12-megapixel camera was to get rid of that hump.
Since the South Korean company will never be able to please all customers, the presence of a rather thin camera hump should be the least of Samsung's worries.
