Samsung is the best example of a smartphone manufacturer that manages to offer competitive products to all consumer categories while maintaining its top position in many markets around the world. In case you didn't know, the next Samsung handset set for release pretty soon is the Galaxy On7 2016 edition.

Galaxy On7 (2016) has recently undergone a benchmark test on GFXBench, which has revealed some of its specs, according to Mobipicker. The 2016 edition is a clear improvement over the same-named smartphone Samsung released last year. The entry-level 2015 edition failed to impress and only managed to cover the basic needs of entry-level consumers.

Galaxy On7 2016 edition comes with significant enhancements in all departments, including processing power, RAM and camera. Specifically, the report mentions that the phone packs a 4.8-inch screen, but Samsung could still change its mind and feature a 5.5-inch display. Screen resolution should reach 1080p, a big step forward compared to the 720p resolution of its predecessor.

Galaxy On7 - 2016 edition will come with 3GB of RAM

The device will also have double CPU cores, RAM, and storage compared to last year’s edition. Moreover, it will get eight A53 cores and it will provide 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The phone will also run an Adreno 506 processing unit. While the processor model isn’t mentioned, it's worth mentioning that Adreno 506 GPU usually gets coupled with Snapdragon 625 CPU.

Galaxy On7 (2016) will also arrive with Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box, but there’s no information on battery capacity. Nevertheless, the smartphone will sports a 13MP rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash, together with an 8MP camera on the front.

The device supports multiple connectivity options like Bluetooth, GPS, and WiFi, and it has recently found its way on Indian import export website Zauba, thus signaling an imminent launch. Rumor has it the phone’s price will fall into the $150-$200 range, and Samsung is most likely to release it in mid-August.
