Now that the Galaxy S8 is out, Samsung is expected to announce its next flagship smartphone this fall and bits of information about the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 continue to surface. The latest leak reveals sketches hinting at narrow display angles on the new device.

The sketches were posted by Poyoco Tech and they reveal significantly narrower display angles compared to those on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The smartphone will come with a dual-camera setup on the back with two vertically placed sensors and dual LED and dual tone flash on the back.

The report also mentions that the smartphone will retain the 3.5mm headphone jack and come with AKG audio feature. AKG is the Austria-based audio company that collaborated with Samsung when developing the Galaxy S8, as well as a number of other companies for their premium smartphones.

The Galaxy Note 8 could come with AKG bundled earphones

The Galaxy Note 8 might also come with AKG bundled earphones and share a number of features with the Galaxy S8, including an improved Infinity Display. In addition, it’s rumored to come with a 3,600mAh battery inside and run Bixby, Samsung’s virtual assistant.

The upcoming smartphone might also run Samsung’s Exynos 8890 SoC or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 platform depending on the market. Other rumors say that the premium smartphone will come with 6GB of RAM and feature a 6.3-inch display with curved side edges and 2.5D glass on top. It might support QHD+ resolution and feature 18:5:9 aspect ratio, same as on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

Samsung has already stated that the new phone will launch in the second half of this year, but the actual date hasn’t been revealed. Still, rumors say that the Galaxy Note 8 might arrive this September, possibly during IFA Berlin, but that remains to be seen. Recently, a Galaxy Note 8 variant was spotted running Android 7.1.1, revealing that Samsung already started testing the mobile OS version on the new phone.
