The Galaxy Note 7 could be launched at the start of August

As August approaches, more and more information on Samsung’s Galaxy Note 6 (or Note 7) surfaces. Yesterday, we reported that the device would come with a dual-lens camera while today a leaked render video shows its design.

Renowned leakster Steve Hemmerstoffer from @OnLeaks has released a 1-second video, followed by what seems to be the very first image of Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Steve Hemmerstoffer mentions that the picture and video depict the Galaxy Note 7, and not the Edge variant. At this point, it’s unclear if Samsung will actually launch an Edge variant for the Note 7 series, but all rumors point to specifically this.

Nevertheless, the video unveils only a small part of the phone, since it was shot from a low-quality and strange angle. Still, it reveals the click-out S Pen on the right next to the speaker, as well as the fact that the device might have a USB Type-C port. Also worth mentioning is that the screen has a curve.

The Galaxy Note 7 Edge could have a larger body compared to the Note 5

Also today, Steve Hemmerstoffer and uSwitch have released early renders of the device. The Galaxy Note 7 Edge is shown in a 15-second video. The device will feature rounded-off frame sides while the rear camera on the back was minimized to a smaller size, just like on the Galaxy S7 Edge.

The front of the phone comes with multiple sensors, including proximity and light sensors, as well as the camera. It has two additional openings, which could indicate that the Note 7 Edge might sport a flash front camera or even an iris scanner.

The alleged Note 7 Edge could measure 6.04 x 2.90 x 0.31 inches (153.5mm x 73.9mm x 7.9mm), being slightly larger than its predecessor, the Note 5. This specific size could also mean a more powerful battery for the Galaxy Note 7 Edge, which would make it even more appealing.

Nothing is certain at this point, and all of these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt, considering that there’s not even definitive information on the name of Note 5 successor or if the upcoming device will have two variants.
