Samsung’s Galaxy J series has produced some really appealing smartphones this year, including the Galaxy J7 Prime with a price tag of about $285. Earlier this year, Samsung released the Galaxy J7 (2016) and it seems that the South Korean company is ready for a successor.

Renders of the Galaxy J7 (2017) have just been spotted online, as 91mobiles and @OnLeaks have just released high-definition renders and a 360-degree video. The images show that the smartphone will have a cleaner design compared to its predecessor, with a visible speaker grille on the top as opposed to the bottom on the previous model.

The back panel might be made out of metal and feature a LED flash, next to the rear camera. Renders also reveal that the phone might have a volume rocker on the left edge, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microphone at the bottom. The physical button in the front incorporates the fingerprint scanner. The smartphone will measure 51.34 x 76.20 x 8 mm and come with 16GB of internal storage.

Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) could come with 3GB of RAM

The Galaxy J7 (2017) has recently received certification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), carrying the model number SM-J727V. The listing doesn’t reveal any other details on the upcoming phone, but recent reports show that the device has also received WiFi certification.

Some of the phone’s specs have already leaked online, and the Galaxy J7 (2017) is said to run an Exynos chipset and come with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. It might also have a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display and incorporate 3GB of RAM.

Moreover, rear camera capacity might reach 13MP, with 5MP in the front for snapping selfies and conducting video calls. The phone is said to draw power from a 3,000mAh battery and is expected to make an official appearance in April 2017.
