The next smartphone in the Galaxy A series is about to make its debut very soon. Samsung Galaxy A9 leaked online quite a few times in the last couple of days.

Basically, we know everything there is to know about Samsung Galaxy A9 and the only things that remain to be confirmed are the release date and pricing options.

Samsung fans anxious to get their hands on the Galaxy A9 will be pleased to know the smartphone is now one step closer to release.

The smartphone has just been certified at FCC (Federal Communications Commissions), so its launch is not imminent.

We expect the Galaxy A9 to be initially released in China, but it's safe to assume the high-end smartphone will be rolled out worldwide soon afterwards.

There aren't many details available at FCC regarding the Galaxy A9's specs, so we're left with what we know so far from previous rumors.

Lollipop or Marshmallow?

First of all, the Galaxy A9 is likely to ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, though we would have expected the South Korean company to put Android 6.0 Marshmallow on this high-end smartphone.

The main selling point of Samsung Galaxy A9 would be the large 6-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

Another strong point is the massive 4,000 mAh battery that's likely to power the Galaxy A9. Also, the smartphone is said to come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Rumor has it that Samsung Galaxy A9 will pack a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. At the front, the smartphone should feature a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
