Samsung is preparing to unleash a new wave of Android smartphones in the next couple of weeks, and the Galaxy A series is likely to spearhead this smartphone invasion.

One of the cheapest, and probably the less-featured smartphone in the Galaxy A series that's expected to go official very soon is the Galaxy A3 (2017). If you've been following our stories about this particular phone, then you already know the Galaxy A3 (2017) has recently been spotted at GFXBench.

Moreover, Samsung has already shipped the Galaxy A3 (2017) to India for testing purposes, so there're just a few more steps for the South Korean company to finally make it available for purchase.

One of those steps has just been confirmed, as the Galaxy A3 (2017) has been given Bluetooth certification recently. The phone was listed on October 28, which suggests Samsung is very close to announcing it.

Aside from its model number, Samsung SM-A320F, there's nothing really new in terms of information, so we're left with what's already been revealed in benchmarks.

A rather small display, but decent CPU

Based on that information, it appears that the Galaxy A3 (2017) is a mid-range smartphone powered by Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. Also, the phone will pack an octa-core processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

We can safely assume the Galaxy A3 (2017) will also include microSD card slot for memory expansion, even though it hasn't been mentioned in any of the previous rumors. Another important aspect of the unannounced phone is the 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display that supports HD (720p) resolution.

Those who love taking pictures but can't afford a more expensive phone won't have to worry since the Galaxy A3 (2017) is likely to pack a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a secondary 5-megaixel selfie camera. There's no word on battery, but considering the rather small screen, it shouldn't be something to worry about.
