14 DAY TRIAL // We already know that Samsung plans to introduce its new Galaxy A series of smartphones on January 5, 2017. However, those of you who want a better look at what the South Korean company has in store for us, here are a couple of official pictures of two of the smartphones that will be revealed in early January.
German site Winfuture.de has just leaked several press renders of the Galaxy A3 (2017) and Galaxy A5 (2017), but not the third smartphone that will be announced on January 5, the Galaxy A7 (2017).
According to the cited source, Samsung won't launch the Galaxy A7 (2017) in Germany, and possibly no other European country, at least not in the beginning. The other two Galaxy A 2017 smartphones will be available for purchase for €379 and €479, respectively.
The pictures clearly show that the Galaxy A series has been overhauled design-wise. They look quite different from any of the other phones in the Galaxy A family that were previously launched on the market.
Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) won't be available in all markets
All three will be released in four different colors: black, gold, blue, and pink. They are consistent upgrades over the Galaxy A 2016 smartphones, but we don't know yet if it's worth the upgrade.
We do know that the Galaxy A3 (2017) is likely to sport a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display with HD (720p) resolution. The phone will be powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD card).
Furthermore, the smartphone will pack a 13-megapixel camera on the back, a secondary 8-megapixel camera in the front, and a 3,000 mAh battery inside.
Next in line, the Galaxy A5 (2017) comes with a larger 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. It will be equipped with a 1.8GHz octa-core Exynos 7880 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB expandable memory.
On the back, the phone will feature a slightly better 16-megapixel camera, while in the front there should be a similar 16-megapixel camera for selfies. The Galaxy A5 (2017) will be powered by a 3,300 mAh battery.
