14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 is about two weeks away from its release, and rumors about the upcoming smartphone continue to pour in at a fast rate. The latest regards the possibility of Samsung launching a 64GB base variant of the Galaxy Note 7 in South Korea.
Previous rumors hinted at a 64GB of internal storage for the Galaxy Note 7, and it seems that a new image has been leaked, pointing in the same direction. It's not quite as good as official confirmation, but it's enough to assume that the 64GB base model will most likely come to at least one market.
The image only indicates that such a model will arrive in South Korea, but it's highly likely that it will make its way to other countries as well. Still, the image has surfaced on SamMobile, and the website indicates that only the Korean Telecom version is listed with such internal storage.
The base model will also come with a microSD card
Considering the €849 price of the Galaxy Note 7, it wouldn't be unlikely for the smartphone to actually have a base model with 64GB in every country in which it's projected to arrive. In addition, Samsung is expected to incorporate a microSD card as well, for expanding the internal storage to an even higher capacity.
Aside from this, the Galaxy Note 7 could also have a hybrid slot that would support both regular microSD cards and Samsung's new UFS cards, which have just recently been released. The UFS cards would allow users to read data five times faster and write data at a speed that's twice the one of existing microSD cards.
It remains to be seen if the Galaxy Note 7 will indeed come with UFS card support and a 64GB internal memory base model. Together with the other rumored specs, the smartphone will surely make an impact on the market, following its debut on August 2.
