Red Wings: Aces of the Sky, the game that we told you about three months ago, has finally received a release date. If you're into dogfighting and World War I games, you'll be happy to know that All in! Games will bring Red Wings: Aces of the Sky to Nintendo Switch as early as May 21.

The game will be launched on PC (via Steam) as well, but it doesn't have a release date yet. Red Wings: Aces of the Sky is an arcade air combat in which players will pilot warplanes of the Entente Powers and the Triple Alliance.

The game will feature both single-player story mode and local split-screen play for those who want to experience it with a friend. There are no less than 50 story-driven campaign missions on both sides of the Great War, which players will be able to take on later this month.

Besides being able to relive the epic aerial combat of World War I, players will be given the chance to control 10 historical warplanes of the Entente Powers and the Triple Alliance. Red Wings: Aces of the Sky features simplified controls, specially developed for Nintendo Switch's controllers.

With the use of just 4 unique skills, players will be able to gain an advantage in battles and take enemies down. However, they will need to make sure to upgrade their pilot progression skill tree to improve your stats and skills.

The campaign story mode will offer players the chance to learn the story of the Red Baron, Manfred von Richthofen, the fighter ace of the war. To make the game even more historically accurate, developers have included quotes from real letters from World War 1 pilots.

Those who don't have a Nintendo Switch but would like to play Red Wings: Aces of the Sky when it launches on PC, can wishlist the game on Steam.
