As expected, Ubisoft has just unleashed the so-called Operation Steel Wave in Rainbow Six Siege. The latest update brings new Operators, gadgets, balance adjustments, and many improvements. If you're paying for a UPLAY+ subscription, you'll be getting Rainbow Six Siege for free with all Operators unlocked, so you won't have to worry about paying to play your favorite character.

Also, owners of the Year 5 Pass will get access immediately to both new operators – Norwegian Attacker Ace and South African Defender Melusi. For those who don't pay for a uPlay+ subscription and don't own the Year 5 Pass, these Operators will unlock starting June 23, but they will not be available for free.

Apart from the two new Operators, Operation Steel Wave adds a reworked House map, a new secondary gadget for Defenders, and several other updates that are free for all players regardless of platform.

The secondary gadgets for Defenders, the Proximity Alarm makes a loud beeping noise whenever an Attacker enters its radius and line of sight. New tweaks for Amaru at making her Garra Hook entry swifter and more surprising have been included in the update too.

Also, a bunch of new quality-of-life improvements has been added, including the addition of a unified MMR system that places all players on the same global skill-ranking scale, as well as an Echo Elite Set.

Last but not least, the House map rework that's now available for all players features a new two-story addition, which creates a lot of new space for entry and conflict. Furthermore, the garage entrance has been reworked and some second-story changes open up new routes for attacking the master bedroom.

Don't forget that you can find more details about the two new Operators – Aces and Melusi on Ubisoft's official website. Suffice to say they spice up the game by a lot with their gadgets and abilities, so why not check them out right away.
