Purported iPhone 7 Prices Leak

Apple is expected to launch the new iPhone 7 next week on September 7, and although the company has always tried to remain completely tight-lipped on everything related to this model, we already know pretty much about it, including look and features.

And thanks to new information that has reached the web today, we’re now getting a glimpse into the pricing of the iPhone 7 lineup too, although we need to mention from the very beginning that these details aren’t confirmed just yet.

According to Twitter user @the_malignant, who has a mixed track record of iPhone leaks, this pricing comes from Leleda, which is one of the largest Chinese Apple partners, so depending on taxes and currency, the iPhone 7 could be available for a little bit less or more in markets around the world.

First and foremost, it’s worth noting that, according to this leak, Apple will give up on the 16 GB version of the iPhone and will go for three different configurations, namely 32 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB, for both the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch Plus models.

The most affordable iPhone will be the entry-level version with a 4.7-inch display and 32 GB of storage space, which will be available in China for RMB 5,288 ($791 / €708), while the most expensive will be the Plus with 256 GB of storage - RMB 7,888 ($1,180 / €1,056). Apple’s betting big on the Plus model, which will come with some exclusive features, including a dual-camera system with 2 different 12-megapixel units, as well as with 3 GB of RAM and a bigger battery. The smaller iPhone will get some upgrades too, but it’ll continue to feature a single-lens camera, with Apple hoping the Plus to sell better thanks to all these improvements.

For the moment, all we've got are leaks and unconfirmed rumors, but fortunately, we have a little bit more than a week of waiting until we find out all details about the new iPhone.
