Oppo A51 appears at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission, in early June, but no details on the phone's availability and pricing options were available at that time.

Today, a new report claims that the smartphone will arrive in about two weeks and will go on sale in China for around $270 outright. The price might be quite high considering this is a mid-range Android smartphone.

If Oppo launches the A51 in China with this price tag, it will hardly be able to compete with Lenovo, Xiaomi and Meizu's devices, not to mention that other native OEMs launch much cheaper device each week.

But let's see what the Oppo A51 has to offer in terms of specs. If you hadn't read our previous report on the smartphone, here is a quick rundown of its main features.

Android 5.1 Lollipop and ColorOS 2.1

First of all, Oppo A51 is expected to ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with ColorOS 2.1 on top.

The smartphone has been confirmed to pack a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, an Adreno 306 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

Also, the A51 will pack no less than 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

When it comes to connectivity, Oppo A51 will offer dual-SIM and 4G LTE support, but also Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS support.

Oppo A51 should sport a decent 5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution. On the back, the phone is expected to pack an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there will be a 5-megapixel selfie camera.

Last but not least, Oppo's mid-range Android smartphone will be powered by a 2,420 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
