14 DAY TRIAL // In a pretty long letter to its fans, OnePlus' co-founder Carl Pei has announced a brand new smartphone that will be available beginning December 22, the One Plus X Champagne Edition.
As the name suggests, the device has been launched in celebration of the successful year OnePlus has had in 2015: “What better way is there to celebrate an anniversary than with some champagne? Well, we’re taking that both literally and figuratively.”
“While the OnePlus staff will be popping bottles of champagne, we want to celebrate with you by officially launching the OnePlus X Champagne edition,” says Pai in the letter.
If you are anxious to grab this device, then you should know OnePlus X Champagne Edition will be available for purchase in Europe for €270 since this is basically a regular OnePlus X model and not a Ceramic Edition variant.
It will be initially launched in Europe
If you are not located in Europe, you will be able to get the OnePlus X Champagne Edition very soon since the Chinese company has confirmed the smartphone will arrive in other markets in the coming weeks.
It's also worth mentioning that OnePlus X Champagne Edition will be available sans invite every Tuesday on a first come, first served basis.
However, if you already have an OnePlus X invite, you will be able to use it for the Champagne Edition anytime during the week.
Along with the upcoming release of OnePlus X Champagne Edition (available in both black and white), the Chinese OEM has informed us that it will release a documentary in 2016, which will tell the story of the company as it's been written so far.
“It’s a look behind the scenes at what makes OnePlus what it is - the highs, the lows, and everything in between. This story is ours to celebrate together, so hopefully you’ll be as pumped to see it as we are. We’re releasing the teaser today,” explains Carl Pei.
