Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has stopped selling the OnePlus 3T with 128GB of internal storage, as the company’s official website reveals that the Gunmetal model has been discontinued. The company did provide a reason for this move.

According to a thread on Reddit, OnePlus discontinued the Gunmetal OnePlus 3T with 128GB of internal storage in order to focus its “efforts on one flagship device.” OnePlus will continue to offer support for the 128GB OnePlus 3T that launched last year, but customers will no longer be able to purchase the device from the company’s official website.

The flagship smartphone that OnePlus’ customer support representative is referring to is most likely the upcoming OnePlus 5. Recently, the Chinese company has confirmed the name of the new flagship and revealed that the smartphone will arrive this summer, possibly in June.

OnePlus 3T gets discounted priority shipping until May 14

With Snapdragon 835 platform, the rumored up to 8GB of RAM and dual-camera setup on the back, OnePlus 5 will be a force to be reckoned with for other flagship smartphones on the market. OnePlus 5 will also come with a ceramic body and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom of the device, together with USB Type-C port and a 5.5-inch Full HD or QHD display. Internal storage is expected to reach 64GB or 128GB, depending on the variant.

Until then, OnePlus is still offering the OnePlus 3T smartphone with 64GB of internal storage in Gunmetal and Soft Gold color variants. Both options carry a price tag of about $479, but OnePlus will be offering a 30% priority shipping discount until May 14.

Customers who purchase the OnePlus 3T need to add the checkout code "FASTLIKEOP3T.” Priority shipping ensures that orders are sent out within 24 hours and reach customers in 1-3 days. For this, customers usually pay $9.99, but with the discount, the price of priority shipping drops to $6.99.

Update: OnePlus stated that the 128GB OnePlus 3T wasn't discontinued, but that the smartphone is simply out of stock, according to GSMArena. The company updated its website to reflect this and OnePlus will continue to sell the device, at least in some markets.
