14 DAY TRIAL // OnePlus recently confirmed that it was working on a new flagship smartphone, one that’s expected to arrive in late June and carry the retail name OnePlus 5. Now, leaked sketches reveal that OnePlus 5 will feature a dual-camera setup on the back.
Alleged sketches of the OnePlus 5 surfaced recently, clearly showing the dual-lens setup and revealing a dual-LED flash below the two camera shooters, according to a report. The camera setup on the back appears to be protruding, while the phone’s upper portion seems to be made out of ceramic.
Moving on, the smartphone will also come with an alert slider on the left and volume rockers. The power button appears to be located at the right-side of the smartphone, while the 3.5mm headphone jack is located at the bottom of OnePlus’ flagship.
Sketches reveal a dual-camera setup in the front
The speaker grille and USB Type-C port are also located at the bottom, while the smartphone appears to come with a dual-camera setup at the front. There haven’t been many reports suggesting a dual-lens setup at the front of the new OnePlus 5 flagship, but rather an 8MP single-lens sensor in the front.
So take the images with a grain of salt, they might be early sketches and OnePlus could have gone in another direction with the final retail version. Internal specs for the OnePlus 5 leaked recently, revealing a 5.5-inch full HD or QHD display, together with Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC.
Rear sensors will most likely have 12MP lens, while the device will run Android Nougat with OxygenOS UI on top. However, recent leaks regarding RAM capacity and internal storage don’t seem to reach a consensus, with some reports pointing to 6GB of RAM and others saying that OnePlus will stretch RAM capacity to 8GB.
Internal storage might reach 64GB or 128GB, while battery capacity will be set somewhere between the range of 3,580mAh and 4,000mAh. The smartphone will be announced in late June and more details will surely surface until then.
