Literally, not one day passes without news on the upcoming OnePlus 3, and we only hope that the smartphone can match the hype that has been created around it. Today, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has released camera samples captured with the device.

The images were taken with the rear camera on the OnePlus 3, according to PriceRaja, and OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has released three such pictures.

At this point, it’s unclear if they were taken with a retail unit or a prototype, but EXIF data indicates a 16MP (4640 x 3480 pixels) resolution for the rear camera, which seems to match rumors so far.

It’s not the first camera sample of the OnePlus 3 to be released, as just last month, CEO Pete Lau revealed an image taken with the front camera of the OnePlus 3, which should have 8MP.

OnePlus 3 will see the light of day on June 14

OnePlus 3 will be the company’s fourth flagship smartphone, but OnePlus had the intention of expanding to the wearables market. Last year, OnePlus created a smartwatch but decided against releasing it, possibly in order to focus on the upcoming flagship.

With all the leaked specs and benchmark tests, little information is unknown about the OnePlus 3, which is expected to see the light of day on June 14 and go on sale in China the very next day. OnePlus held a flash-sale today and offered 1,000 OnePlus 3 units to its fans.

OnePlus 3 is expected to come in six variants, with the main difference being RAM and internal storage capacity. The smartphone should run Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 with OxygenOS on top.

It should pack a Snapdragon 820 SoC, and OnePlus is said to work on its own Dash Charge technology that would speed up the charging process on its presumably 3,000mAh battery.
