Details about OnePlus’ new smartphone have been surfacing for some time now and the pace of leaks won’t slow down until the device is officially announced this summer. OnePlus 5 has just showed up in benchmark, revealing its specs, according to a report.
The listing reveals that OnePlus 5 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 platform, which was featured on many flagship smartphones this year. The phone also appears to feature 6GB of RAM, while internal storage seems to reach 64GB, although a variant with 128GB memory could also be released.
Moreover, the smartphone features Adreno 540 graphics processing unit, while the device will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat with OxygenOS on top. The listing also shows a 16MP camera in the front, together with a 16MP sensor on the back. OnePlus 5 is expected to feature a dual-camera setup on the rear, despite the fact that the AnTuTu listing shows a single-lens system.
Renders of the OnePlus 5 surfaced recently, showing that the phone will feature a dual-camera setup, in a vertical position, compared to the horizontal shape that we’ve seen in past images.
Full HD display on the OnePlus 5
Recent rumors about OnePlus’ upcoming smartphone revealed that the device could be equipped with a QHD display, which means a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. However, the listing reveals that this particular A5000 model has a full HD screen, not a QHD one.
Full HD displays are cheaper than QHD screens, which will allow OnePlus to post a smaller price for the upcoming phone and thus keep with the OnePlus tradition of offering smartphones with high performance, but affordable prices. OnePlus 5 was also subjected to Geekbench tests, revealing a score higher than the Galaxy S9 or the Xperia XZ Premium.
OnePlus is expected to announce the upcoming OnePlus 5 this summer, while the exact date of the announcement is unknown. Until then, more information about the smartphone will surely surface.
