OnePlus is preparing to unveil its latest flagship smartphone later this month and information about the upcoming device continues to surface. The latest reveals that OnePlus 5 might carry a price tag of about €550 In Europe.

OnePlus 5 could be sold for a price of €550 or $617 in Finland, according to a contest for an annual music festival that will take place in the country, a new report reveals. The grand prize is a OnePlus 5 smartphone, together with two three-day VIP passes to the event.

The contest was posted on Facebook recently and it revealed the price of the OnePlus 5 prize, as rules require organizers to reveal the actual value of prizes. The supposed retail value of the OnePlus 5 is thus €550 in most European markets, possibly $617 in the US. Obviously, the price varies by country and it depends on local taxes.

OnePlus 5 will be more costly than OnePlus 3T

OnePlus 5 could be more expensive than the 3T, which currently sells for €439 in Finland. The phone’s price in the US is $439. OnePlus 5 is expected to run Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 platform and feature 6GB or 8GB of RAM, while internal memory reaches 64GB or 128GB.

A variant with 8GB of RAM was recently revealed by Amazon India, which will start selling the smartphone on June 22. The upcoming flagship is also expected to feature a dual-camera setup on the back in a vertical position, developed in partnership with DxO Mark. In addition, it will come with a 5.5-inch Full HD display and a 3.5mm headphone jack. OnePlus has said that the OnePlus 5 will be the thinnest OnePlus flagship to date.

OnePlus is expected to unveil the new smartphone on June 20, during an event which will be livestreamed online. The company will also hold pop-up events in a number of cities from around the world, including New York.
