The smartphone might still be available in some markets

Since OnePlus hasn't mentioned what will happen with the OnePlus 3 right after the release of its new flagship smartphone, most of us assumed the Chinese company would continue to sell both models until the end of the year.

However, that won't happen, and it makes sense. There's no reason for OnePlus to sell two almost similar devices in all markets. That being said, the Chinese handset maker has told AndroidAuthority that it has decided to discontinue sales of the OnePlus 3 in the United States and Europe.

It's unclear what will happen in other emerging markets like India, but we believe customers will want to wait for the OnePlus 3T, which is only a tad more expensive than the OnePlus 3, but comes with slightly better specs.

The OnePlus 3T is expected to make its debut in the United States on November 22, while customers in Europe will be able to buy it starting November 28. In comparison, the OnePlus 3 has been available for purchase since June in just about every meaningful market.

Customers will be able to grab the OnePlus 3T for $439 (64GB) or $479 (128GB), but in the UK the smartphone seems to be a little bit overpriced at £399, which is about $495 outright.

According to OnePlus, the 3T will only be available in Gunmetal color initially, but a Soft Gold version will be launched in the coming weeks.

Since the Chinese company eliminated the invitation system, you will be able to order the OnePlus 3T anytime via the company's online store. In the UK, the smartphone will only be available at major carrier O2.
