TENAA certified the upcoming OnePlus 3 smartphone

OnePlus has certainly built quite the hype around the upcoming OnePlus 3, as leaked information and company announcements surface on the Internet on a daily basis. The latest leak regards the Chinese telecommunication authority, TENAA, which has certified the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone rumored to be released on June 14.

The post on TENAA reveals some spec details on the upcoming device, most importantly, that it will be powered by a quad-core 2.15GHz processor, which will most likely be a Snapdragon 820 SoC.

The smartphone should sport a 5.5-inch full HD display and come with 4GB of RAM. Internal memory should reach 64GB while the phone will draw power from a 3,000mAh battery, compared to previous rumors that suggested a 3,500mAh battery.

Rear camera capabilities should reach 16MP, with an 8MP front shooter. The device should measure 152.6×74.6×7.3mm and weigh 160g. Images on TENAA show that it will have an all-metal case and should run Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box, with Oxygen OS most likely on top of it.

OnePlus 3 will come in three color variants

Images reveal that the OnePlus 3 will come in three color variants: gray, black, and gold. The price is expected to land somewhere in between $300 and $400.

Speaking of smartphone prices, OnePlus posted permanent price cuts on its website for all of its handsets yesterday. Fans can buy company flagships for a smaller price and throw in some discounted phone cases and power banks, as well. Users who bought phones in the past 14 days will be refunded.

OnePlus 3 is expected to be released on June 14, during an event held exclusively in VR. OnePlus offered fans Loop VR headsets that they can use in order to check out the virtual space station that the company created, and they can also purchase the OnePlus 3 before anyone else.
