It seems that for every day left until Nintendo makes an official announcement about the NX, a new rumor about the platform is bound to appear, offering more details about the company's plans and how it wants to make sure that the coming platform outperforms the disappointing Wii U.

Emily Rogers, who has been a solid source of information about the company, posts on her blog that the plan is to deliver a software output that will be much bigger than that associated with the currently available home console and will deliver increased quality.

Sources close to Nintendo are saying that the first party teams and studios at Nintendo will increase their own output in order to support the arrival of the NX and its first year of life, with a new process for game development implemented inside the Japanese company.

The pace of major game launches will be higher than before and many of the titles that were initially set to arrive on the Wii U have been moved to the new platform, with the highest profile of them probably being the all-new The Legend of Zelda.

Rumors are also saying Nintendo is planning to deliver ports of some of its most popular current titles, including Splatoon and Mario Maker, presumably with new features associated with the NX.

The new console does not yet have a launch date

Nintendo is probably keeping details private because it is preparing for a major reveal that will take place during or close to the E3 2016 event in June.

Rumors are claiming that factories in Taiwan are already testing the manufacturing process associated with the device and that it will produce them starting in early summer, with a full release taking place later in the season.

Sources are also saying that the hardware Nintendo is using will deliver performance that will be superior to current home consoles from Microsoft and Sony and close to what the PlayStation 4 NEO will offer.

Nintendo might also choose to only reveal a small number of high-profile titles when it announces the NX.
