The developers at EA Sports who are creating NBA Live 16 are aware of the problems that some gamers have seen in the demo version of the basketball sim that is now available, and they are promising that all the issues will be ironed out before the game is fully launched on September 29.

Sean O'Brien, the executive producer working on the experience, explains on the official site that his team is satisfied with the fact that a large number of players have downloaded the demo version and the companion app that uses the GameFaceHD technology.

Apparently, millions of matches have already been played, and EA Sports believes that the released mechanics and content represent a robust look at the core of NBA Live 16.

The executive producer adds, "As with anytime you release demo software before it’s final, there’s a chance some funky things might happen - 2D avatars and backwards jump shots, for examples. But, these issues - along with others - are scheduled to be updated prior to the official launch on the 29th."

He also encourages players to continue to deliver feedback and explain why they would like to see certain changes.

EA Sports is focusing on the fundamentals of basketball

The series has been plagued by issues for a relatively long time, with quality always lower than the fan community expected, and that means the spotlight is now occupied by the rival NBA 2K experience from 2K Games.

NBA Live 16 aims to rebuild the reputation of the series by focusing on the core elements of the basketball simulation space, with a focus on solid physics and interactions between the players.

Gamers will have access to a solid single-player career, with a new progression system, and EA Sports is also introducing some tweaks for the Ultimate Team side of the franchise.

NBA Live 16 will be launched on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
