The development team at EA Sports is preparing for a big month of launches and fans of NBA Live 16 are now able to get more information about the ratings for the various players that will be featured in the basketball simulation.

The leader of the point guard category is Chris Paul, with an overall of 95, which makes the Los Angeles Clippers player one of the most useful additions to any squad.

EA Sports states on the official site that, "Lob City is led by one of the best playmakers in the NBA, and his ratings show it. CP3 has the top passer rating in the game, coming in with a 96 Pass Accuracy and 94 Court Vision. His handles? Ridiculous, with a 92 Dribble. Don’t forget about his deadly long-range ability: It’s a 93."

Russell Westbrook, with an overall of 94, is in second place when it comes to point guards in NBA Live 16, with the development team saying that the cover star is the fastest and the strongest in the category.

Players can also rely on his dunking ability and his capacity to attract fouls, and he is even a solid contributor to the defensive.

Stephen Curry from the Golden State Warriors, with an overall set at 94, is another solid point guard choice, and is followed in the EA Sports rundown by Lyrie Irving, from the Cleveland Cavaliers at 90, and John Wall from the Washington Wizards, also at 90.

Damian Lillard from the Portland Trailblazers is the final pick from EA Sports for the point guard category.

NBA Live 16 will improve core game features

EA Sports claims that the coming basketball simulation will feature improvements for all the main mechanics, with more options on the defense and new ways to deal with opponent players when trying to score.

The physics and the animations in NBA Live 16 are also being improved.

So far the developers have not offered too much information about the way the Ultimate Team mode will evolve.

NBA Live will be launched on September 29 in North America and on October 1 in Europe and can be played on both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

A demo for the title, with a range of teams and players, will be offered on September 15.
