One of the downsides of Motorola's DROID lineup is the fact that many of the smartphones in this family lack microSD card slot for memory expansion.

This is a deal breaker for many Android fans and one of the reasons these DROID smartphones sold in less than they should have.

But it looks like Motorola has learned its lesson and the upcoming DROID smartphones won't be lacking this feature anymore. Well, at least one of them has been confirmed to pack microSD card slot, the DROID Turbo 2.

Motorola and Verizon have already announced they will unveil two new DROID smartphones on October 27. Obviously, we're talking about DROID Turbo 2 and DROID Maxx 2.

Both smartphones will be exclusive to Verizon and will probably be available for purchase around the same time they will be unveiled.

Motorola wants to make sure everyone wishes to buy the DROID Turbo 2

Today, AndroidCentral reports they have been sent an info sheet via email, which states that DROID Turbo 2 comes with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 2TB).

In addition, the official document also mentions, once again, that the DROID Turbo 2 sports a “shaterproof screen” and a large battery that should provide up to 48 hours of continuous usage.

Also, the same battery should last you up to 13 hours after charging it for just 15 minutes, which confirms the fact that it will come with fast charging technology.

Other specs mentioned in the info sheet include a 21-megapixel rear-facing camera, along with a 5-megapixel wide angle selfie camera for state-of-the-art selfies.

More specs that we know of but haven't been confirmed yet include a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, and a powerful 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM.

The smartphone is expected to pack either 32GB or 64GB of internal memory. No word on pricing options yet, but we hope for more details to emerge in the next couple of days.
