Motorola unveiled two phones in the Moto Z series back in June, but many have been wondering when the company will release the third one, Moto Z Play. Now it seems that the device has gone through GFXBench, and some of its specs have been revealed.

The listing on GFXBench has been spotted by MobileXpose and shows that the device bearing the codename XT1635 runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Aside from this, the phone seems to come with a 5.5-inch touchscreen display with at least 5-finger touch support, and it could have a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

It packs a Snapdragon 625 SoC, listed as a Qualcomm chipset with 8 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. Adreno 506 graphics processing unit is also found on the device, together with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Moto Z Play could come with a 16MP rear camera

Rear camera capacity is 16MP, and a 5MP unit can be found on the front. The listing doesn't say anything about battery capacity, but previous leaks pointed to the fact that the smartphone would sport a 3,500mAh battery and have a fingerprint scanner on the back.

This is not the first time that the handset has been spotted on a benchmarking site, as back in July, an AnTuTu listing revealed specs similar to the ones announced recent listing on GFXBench. The smartphone has been leaking in multiple images lately, showing off its design, which resembles quite a lot that of the other two phones in the Moto Z series, the Moto Z Force and the “world's thinnest premium smartphone,” according to Lenovo, the Moto Z.

Leaked images seem to suggest that the Moto Z Play will be compatible with modular accessories, MotoMods. A new Hasselblad camera module has been leaking in photos lately, suggesting that Motorola could unveil it together with the Moto Z Play soon, possibly on September 6. Rumors say that the Moto Z Play could be priced at $446.
