Last month, Motorola unveiled two smartphones in the Moto Z series, one of which was advertised as the thinnest premium handset on the market. While the two devices and MotoMods have clearly caught the public's attention, Motorola still has one phone in the lineup that it hasn't unveiled. Moto Z Play has just shown up on AnTuTu, and some details on specs have emerged.

Moto Z Play is the third smartphone in the Moto Z series, the one that Motorola didn't unveil during Tech World. Specs for this device have surfaced over the past few months, and the handset has also recently been spotted on AnTuTu, according to GizmoChina.

Moto Z Play has run the benchmarking app, and the test has revealed that it will pack a Snapdragon 625 mid-range chipset and will come in two variants, depending on the internal storage and RAM capacity. The first version would have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage while the second is set to come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Moto Z Play will come with a 16MP camera on the back

The smartphone will sport a 16MP camera on the back, and it will run Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. Moto Z Play has managed to get 59K points in the benchmark test, which is a satisfactory score for a mid-range device.

It will also come with Adreno 506 graphics processing unit, and the front camera is expected to reach 5MP. Previous rumors stated that the smartphone could have a 3,500mAh battery and provide support for Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.

The price of the smartphone is said to reach $300 for the Chinese variant, but it seems quite high, considering that other devices come with more powerful specs, like the Xiaomi Mi5 or the ZUK Z2, but cost about the same.

At this point, there's no information as to when Motorola will decide to unveil the Moto Z Play and which countries will have access to it.
