Motorola unveiled the Moto Z series last month, during the Lenovo Tech World event. The company also introduced the Phab2 Pro with Google Tango technology, as well as a smartphone with a bendable display. But aside from the Moto Z and Moto Z Force, it seems that the manufacturer has also been working on another handset in the series, namely the Moto Z Play.

Motorola's Moto Z Play bearing the codename Vertex has been spotted on Indian import tracking website Zauba. The listing reveals that the smartphone arrived in India from Canada on July 2, according to GizmoChina, and it also shows that the Moto Z Play will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display.

The handset is also rumored to come with an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor, coupled with an Adreno 506 graphics processing unit. The Motorola-branded phone should also run Android 6.0 Marshmallow, just like the other two devices in the series.

Moto Z Play could come in two variants with different RAM capacity and internal storage

The smartphone is expected to pack a 16MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and a fingerprint sensor. The back camera is expected to offer dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, Laser AF or OIS. It will draw power from a 3,500mAh battery.

RAM capacity is set to reach 3GB, with 32GB internal storage. Another variant could be launched, and it will have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

The smartphone is also expected to arrive with support for Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS, among other connectivity options.

An image of the Moto Z line with codenames surfaced after the unveiling event, showing the Moto Z Play. In addition, images of Pro Camera and Adventure Mod were revealed online, which means that Motorola intends to release more MotoMods, aside from the ones unveiling during the launch event.

At this point, it's quite unclear when Motorola will release the Moto Z Play, but it shouldn't be long now, considering that the other Moto Z devices were unveiled last month.
