Motorola is expected to announce two variants of the Moto X (2017) this year, and information about both smartphones recently leaked online. The Moto X (2017) was revealed in a set of images showing its 3.5mm jack and ports.

The leaked images of a Moto X (2017) variant reveal the boot screen of the smartphone, and sadly no further information can be gathered from the picture.

The image seems to depict the Moto X (2017) model with the code number XT1805, the variant that’s expected to come with 4GB of RAM. The Moto X (2017) appears to come with a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top and micro USB port at the bottom.

Earlier rumors reveal that Motorola intends to release another Moto X (2017) model, one that will come with 3GB of RAM, while internal storage on both variants will be 32GB and offer users the possibility to expand memory by using a microSD card.

Snapdragon 625 and 5.5-inch display

Moving on to the processor inside Moto X (2017) variants, both are expected to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 platform and feature a 5.5-inch display with 1920 by 1080 pixel resolution. The physical home button will retain its position on the front panel and come with embedded fingerprint sensor, while the front panel will feature a selfie snapper with a LED flash.

A dual-camera setup will be incorporated on the back panel, while at least one of the sensors is expected to have a capacity of 13MP. The Moto X (2017) with 3GB of RAM is said to feature a 12MP main camera, while these phones won’t support Moto Mods, as there’s no evidence of connector pins on the back panel.

It’s certainly refreshing to see that Motorola hasn’t completely given up on the 3.5mm jack, as the company intends to bring back the headphone jack to its Moto Z2 line this year.
