The smartphone will arrive at T-Mobile as well

Last year’s Motorola’s Moto Z smartphones were exclusive to carrier Verizon, but this year’s iterations will arrive at at least another carrier in the US. T-Mobile will bring the Moto Z2 Force to its customers, according to leakster Evan Blass.

Aside from Verizon and T-Mobile, Sprint is also expected to sell at least one high-end Motorola smartphone in 2017. Thus, Motorola will make the new smartphones available to even more customers, as sales are expected to be higher than last year’s models.

Recently leaked renders from @OnLeaks and @AndroidAuth show that the Moto Z2 Force will come with connector pins on the back panel for Moto Mods, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack, which was missing on the previous model. To compensate, Motorola provided customers with a USB Type-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adaptor.

The renders also show a design very similar to last year’s Moto Z Force, with the same overall size to ensure compatibility with last year’s modular accessories. The images reveal a new dual-camera setup on the back of the device, a feature that has been adopted on more and more premium smartphones.

The dual-LED flash was incorporated next to the selfie camera, while the fingerprint scanner in the front was redesigned and now features an elliptical shape. A Lenovo logo will be included on the lower part of the right edge, but that’s not visible in the renders.

Reportedly, Lenovo will make the Moto Z2 Force thinner than last year’s model, which was 7mm thick. This year’s successor will be 6mm thick (8.5mm with the camera bump), and hopefully Lenovo will find a solution to up the battery capacity on a much thinner phone. When it comes to the specs inside the new smartphone, Moto Z2 Force should run the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 platform, with at least 4GB of RAM and a 5.5-inch display with 1440x2560 pixel resolution.
