The smartphones announced during this year’s edition of the Mobile World Congress impressed with high-end specs, redesigned and improved camera sensors and smooth looks to appeal to a large number of consumers.

But it was Nokia-branded phones that eventually stole the show, specifically the modern version of the iconic Nokia 3310. The smartphone has been available for pre-order in a number of countries and HMD Global had previously revealed that it would start arriving to consumers sometime in Q2.

It seems that the time is now, as HMD Global took to the official Nokia Twitter account to deliver the good news that the Nokia 3310 has started shipping to consumers. The company also shared a promo video to celebrate this moment, but it seems that some consumers aren’t that excited.

The post is a bit confusing, as HMD Global doesn't actually reveal where the Nokia 3310 will land, and a quick glimpse at UK’s Clove retailer website shows that customers would have to wait until mid-June to get their hands on the phone.

Nokia-branded smartphones will release in Q2

Upon asking about the actual date when the phone will arrive, users received the following answer: “Hi, we will be releasing our products globally in the next few months, stay tuned to our page for further announcements.” HMD Global added that the other recently announced Nokia-branded phones, like the Nokia 6, would make their way to consumers in the second quarter of this year, between April and June.

An actual date wasn’t provided. The devices will ship to Europe first, while consumers in other countries will test their patience in anticipation of their arrival. As a recap, the modern Nokia 3310 is sold for about €49 and features a 2.4-inch display and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The phone is available in both single and dual SIM variants, and it comes in multiple colors, including Glossy Yellow, Matter Gray, Warm Red and Dark Blue.
