14 DAY TRIAL // One of the many successful Android projects launched by Microsoft, Arrow Launcher, has just received a new update. In fact, the application has been updated a few times in the last week, each time with new features and improvements.
An earlier update for Arrow Launcher brought some more Material Design features to the Microsoft application. Long time users will be pleased to know that Arrow Launcher now features material animation for App Drawer.
A few enhancements have been implemented too, developers confirmed. For example, the UX has been improved so you will now have an easier time adding an app to the Apps Page.
Based on the feedback received in the last couple of weeks, Arrow Launcher developers have decided to bring back the App Info button. Also, Microsoft confirmed they have added back pagination for the Widgets page.
According to developers, thanks to this update, Arrow Launcher should launch 20 percent faster. Many under-the-hood tweakings seem to have resulted in a much better performance at startup.
Many improvements enhance scrolling and Apps loading page
In the most recent update for Arrow Launcher, developers confirmed they have reduced crashes by 20 percent. Also, they have improved memory usage.
Those who still use the beta version of Arrow Launcher will also get to test some new features that Microsoft plans to launch in future updates.
For example, you will get to test apps page loading. In order to do that, you will have to force stop the application and load it up again to see if the Apps page is loading fast enough. Developers claim they have improved the performance of this by 50 percent.
Microsoft also improved the scrolling performance in App Drawer, especially in the Widgets tab, so you will be able to test that as well.
If you don't have the application yet, you can now download Arrow Launcher for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0.3 and up.
