One of the most popular Android applications launched by Microsoft, Arrow Launcher has just received a new update that brings new features and improvements into the mix.

The update is now available for download via Google Play Store, so those who already have Arrow Launcher installed on their device should check for the latest update.

Arrow Launcher is a Microsoft Garage project and provides Android users with a simpler Android experience, or at least, that is what it's meant to do.

Basically, the application makes it easier to find, launch and access users' favorite apps, as well as keep in touch with friends, and stay on top of the most important things day and night.

Moreover, the application can learn from the user, so the more you take advantage of its features, the better it should get.

The new features included in the latest update are meant to improve Arrow Launcher even more, as developers claim they have squashed 80% of the user-reported bugs and improved overall performance by no less than 40%.

But that's not all, as the official changelog also mentions support for a new feature, double tap screen to lock, which is aimed at devices that support double tap screen to lock.

Better Material UI page indicator, important performance improvements

Also, developers announced that they updated Material UI page indicator, loader, as well as other minor UI elements.

The update should also improve phablet support and performance and memory consumption by 40%, as mentioned earlier.

Last but not least, the team behind the launcher confirmed they fixed an issue that would cause Widgets to disappear or freeze.

You can now download Arrow Launcher for Android for free via Google Play store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0.3 and up.
