Both should be up for pre-order around the same timeframe

Microsoft's Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are already available for pre-order in many countries, but customers in India have yet to get this opportunity.

Although initial reports claimed the smartphones will be brought to India in early November and then in December, it looks like Microsoft had to postpone the launch of its Windows 10 handsets in this country.

The good news is WindowsCentral reports that Microsoft has already started to send invitations to Indian media for a launch event that is scheduled for November 30.

Even though Microsoft hasn't been too specific on which devices it will launch later this month, it's most likely that both Windows 10 smartphones will be introduced in India.

We also don't know whether or not Microsoft will make both high-end Lumia smartphones available on the same day, but Windows Phone fans should expect them to go on sale around that timeframe.

No word on price and availability yet

Regarding the price, all we have right now are rumors, so take it with a grain of salt, but the Lumia 950 might be available in India for around Rs 38,000 ($585/€530) outright.

Furthermore, those who want a slightly larger device will be able to grab the Lumia 950 XL for around Rs 43,000 ($660/€600) if rumors prove to be accurate.

We don't know if there will be any promotional offers for the purchase of any of the two Windows 10 smartphones, but customers in the US and other countries receive a Display Dock for free.

Hopefully, Microsoft will have enough stock to meet demand in India, because customers in the US will have to wait until December to receive their Windows 10-powered smartphones.

Since there is still more than a week left until Microsoft's launch event, we expect more details on pricing and availability to emerge online, so stay tuned.
