Windows Phone fans in India will probably be disappointed to hear that Microsoft has decided to push the launch of its flagship smartphones, the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, to December.

Some of you might remember that Microsoft initially stated that both smartphones were likely to go on sale sometime in November.

However, last week we reported that the Redmond-based company decided to delay both Windows 10 Mobile handsets for late November.

Today, during the Surface Pro 4 launch in India, Microsoft has announced that both Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones will be released in the country next month.

Unfortunately, the company has not shared any other details regarding specific launch dates or pricing options, so we will have to wait a few more weeks until more info emerges online.

Hopefully, there will be no more delays

If we are to believe the latest rumors on the Lumia 950/950 XL's availability in India, then it might be that the Lumia 950 will be priced at around Rs 38,000 ($585/€530) outright.

On the other hand, those who want a slightly larger device will be able to grab the Lumia 950 XL for around Rs 43,000 ($660/€600) if rumors prove to be accurate.

In other news, according to the latest hearsay, Microsoft is expected to launch the final version of Windows 10 Mobile next week, probably on November 12.

Those who own Windows Phone 8.1 handsets should expect to receive the new version of the OS as an update around the same timeframe.

Microsoft is trying to push Windows 10 Mobile to all compatible devices as soon as possible, but that will highly depend on carriers and country.

It appears that Microsoft has already given carriers Windows 10 Mobile build 10586, which is said to be the RTM build, for testing purposes. If everything goes well, the update might be pushed on the day Microsoft wants.
