14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has just released Windows 10 build 14905 to insiders enrolled in the fast ring, and this is the second Redstone 2 build for PCs, but the first one for mobile devices that have only this week received the Anniversary Update.
Windows 10 build 14905 does come with several improvements (which we’ll detail in a separate article in a few minutes look at the end of the story for the updates to learn more about these), but also with bug fixes, with Microsoft emphasizing that it’s still early in the development stage of Redstone 2, so more new features will land at a later time.
Redstone 2 is the next big step for Windows 10, with the update expected to launch in the spring of 2017, so Microsoft is hard at work to get new features ready for insiders who can try them out and send feedback for future improvements ahead of the public launch.
Furthermore, Redstone 2 is also expected to be a much more important update for mobile devices, with Microsoft itself promising more cool things in 2017, as this year the focus is exclusively on PCs.
The Windows Insider T-shirt
Dona Sarkar, head of the Windows Insider program, has also announced the winner of the Windows Insider T-shirt contest launched recently, explaining that this design (which you can see in the photo gallery below) will be sold online and will be available for everyone.
“After a long - and often heated - selection process (including a vote by the Windows Insider community), our judges narrowed it down to five finalists before picking the ultimate winner: a beautiful design concept by E. Bautista from the United States,” Dona has explained, adding that a new announcement will be made when the T-shirt can be purchased.
Everyone can download the new build and give it a try right now, but keep in mind that it’s still in development stage, and bugs and issues are something to be expected. Just make sure you send all bugs you come across to Microsoft to get them fixed in the next build.
