Microsoft has finally released Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update, two weeks after the official launch of the same update for PCs.

The final build of the Anniversary Update on mobile devices is 14393.67, so this is the version you should be looking for in order to make sure that you’re running RTM.

As compared to the PC release, Microsoft hasn’t prepared a different announcement for the mobile release and has only confirmed its rollout, explaining that, depending on carrier and region, you might receive the Anniversary Update on your Windows 10 Mobile device sooner or later. Unlocked phones should get it right away, but those still tied to carriers might have to wait a little bit longer.

“The Windows 10 Anniversary Update has begun rolling out for Windows 10 Mobile. The Anniversary Update includes additional features and improvements for your Windows 10 phone,” Microsoft has said in its short announcement today.

“To manually check for the update, on Start, swipe over to the All apps list, then select Settings > Update & security > Phone update > Check for updates. Note that availability may vary by manufacturer, model, country or region, mobile operator or service provider, hardware limitations and other factors.”

Is .67 RTM-worthy?

In terms of features, the mobile version of the Anniversary Update doesn’t bring as many features as on PCs, but it includes worthy improvements, such as touch gesture navigation support, improved notifications and Action Center, as well as updated apps that contribute to a generally improved experience.

Insiders who were already running .67 on their devices won’t get any new update, as they’re already on RTM, but there are reports that Microsoft is already shipping a cumulative update to the Release Preview ring that includes as few more improvements.

The biggest question right now concerns the performance of build .67, as many still have bugs and issues that they reported as part of the Insider program and that seem to be unresolved in the RTM version. It remains to be seen if .67 is good enough to be RTM for the Anniversary Update, and we’ll find out more about its performance as more users install it.
