14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft rolled out Windows 10 Mobile build 14267 only a few minutes ago, and in the official announcement the company reveals that it fixes plenty of bugs spotted by users and the development team in the previous releases.
Certainly, fixing bugs is a critical part of the development process, especially because these builds are installed by insiders, and Microsoft seems to take care of this in a very effective manner.
So Windows 10 Mobile build 14267 includes a long list of bug fixes that are aimed to improve performance on the operating system and offer enhanced reliability on devices that would get it.
For example, Gabe Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, revealed that build 14267 addresses live tile animations bugs, so these should now be more polished, with the company also focusing on improving the logic for refreshing tiles. So in case some of your tiles failed to update and turned from “live” to “static,” this behavior should be corrected after the update.
More minor bug fixes likely included
At the same time, Redmond also fixed an issue that impacted the navigation bar in Windows Phone 8.1 apps, such as WhatsApp and Twitter. You are now supposed to be able to hide this bar in build 14267.
There is just a single known issue in this build and it affects visual voicemail notification and delivery, with Microsoft explaining that this feature doesn’t work right now.
“It causes devices to not receive any new visual voicemails. You can manually check your voicemail by calling your voicemail to listen to any new messages. You can call your voicemail within the Phone app by clicking ‘…’ > Settings > ‘Change more settings for Phone’ > ‘Call voicemail’; this will also leave the Voicemail call in your history to make checking voicemail easier,” Aul explained.
