Microsoft seems to be focusing a lot more on the little things that matter for the overall experience in Windows 10, and in addition to major new features added to the operating system, the company is also adding smaller refinements here and there.

The most recent Windows 10 preview build, for instance, introduces a new option to unpin multiple items from the Start menu, and as it turns out, there’s a little something for console users too.

Windows 10 build 18272 comes with support for zooming in the Windows Console, and the feature can be enabled by simply pressing Ctrl + mouse scroll. Zooming is available in any Windows console window, including Command Prompt and PowerShell, and it works pretty neatly, as anyone can figure out if they installed the latest preview build.

Visual style improvements in this build

The size of the window also changes to adapt to your new settings. At this point, an option to quickly return to the default zoom level does not exist, and you need to zoom out manually if you want to reset the new configuration.

At the same time, the latest Windows 10 19H1 preview build also introduces a visual style that changes according to the theme settings in the operating system.

“The observant will also notice that Console now honors your Light/Dark Theme settings: If you are using the Dark Theme, your Console's scroll-bar is also dark-themed! We call this the Halloween 2018 Feature,” Microsoft’s Rich Turner explains.

Windows 10 build 18272 is only available for insiders in the Fast ring for the time being, as both the Slow and the Release preview rings are still getting version 1809 builds. These updates are supposed to help Microsoft fix bugs in the October update before it becomes available to all devices for the second time.
