14 DAY TRIAL // Now that both Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are available for pre-order, Microsoft has kicked off the marketing campaign for these Windows 10 smartphones.
After releasing some introductory videos for the Lumia 950, Microsoft published an article that highlights both smartphones' battery and recharging capabilities.
Microsoft explains things like wireless and fast charging for those who never owned a high-end device with such important features.
“Demanding people require demanding smartphones. The battery and various quick-charging solutions for the Windows 10-powered Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL means your phone can keep up with you to help you do great things,” says Microsoft in a blog post.
Both Windows 10 smartphones come with pretty capable batteries. The Lumia 950 packs a 3,000 mAh battery while the Lumia 950 XL drains energy from a slightly larger 3,340 mAh battery.
If these high-capacity batteries don't offer you enough juice to last you for the day, then you're in luck since both Lumia smartphones come with fast charging.
These features require additional accessories
The Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL come with the USB-C connector that supports USB 3.1 standard. This means faster data transfer speed and fast charging speed.
According to Microsoft, both Lumia smartphones can charge from critically low to up to 50% capacity with 30 minutes of charging.
Also, you will be able to charge your Windows 10 smartphone while working on a big screen thanks to Continuum. While the phone is connected to the Display Dock, which is sold separately, it also charges.
Last but not least, wireless charging is another useful feature that comes in handy while you're on the move. You can place either of the two Windows 10 smartphones on top of the Microsoft Wireless Charger DT-904, and they will start to charge.
Even though there's nothing new for Windows Phone fans, it's great that Microsoft highlights some of the important features that customers who never owned a Windows smartphone can get if they go ahead and purchase the Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL.
