Build 10586 will still be pushed to Insiders on November 12

If you're a Windows Phone user, then you might have already read about the upcoming release of Windows 10 Mobile, which is expected to happen sometime next week.

According to previous reports, Windows 10 Mobile build 10586 is the likely release candidate that should be launched on November 12.

We have already reported about the “reboot loop” on hard reset that this build might be affected by, which seems to be more serious than we have originally thought.

It appears that Microsoft won't be releasing Windows 10 Mobile build 10596 to all Lumia users who own a compatible Windows Phone 8.1 device on the same date.

If you rock a Lumia smartphone with Windows Phone 8.1 onboard, then it's highly unlikely to receive the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade on November 12, the day Microsoft is expected to release Windows 10 Mobile RTM version.

Availability may vary by carrier and country

The information has recently been revealed by Microsoft in a series of tweets to customers asking when they will see Windows 10 Mobile on their Windows Phone handsets.

According to Lumia Help, while Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL ship with Windows 10 for phones, broad availability of Windows 10 on other devices, including mobile phone, will begin rolling out in December.

So there you have it, if you own a Lumia smartphone powered by Windows Phone 8.1, you should expect to receive the next major software update sometime next month.

However, that doesn't mean that Windows 10 Mobile build 10586 won't be released to Windows Insiders anymore. On the contrary, we expect Microsoft to try and push this build, or perhaps a newer one, in mid-November.

In the same piece of news, Microsoft's Windows 10 Mobile software update webpage is already live, which suggests the release of the new OS is not far off.
