The new Microsoft Band has received the biggest discount since its launch, so it’s now available in the United for just $199 (180 EUR), which is the exact same price the original model had when it debuted in November 2014.

The Band 2, which comes with a curved screen and other improvements over the previous version, can be found at this special price at Amazon and Best Buy, but Microsoft could announce similar price cuts very soon, especially with Christmas offers just around the corner.

Keep in mind that this is very likely to be a limited time offer, so if you wish to purchase the Band at this price, you better hurry up because the original price could be restored any time now.

The second-generation Microsoft Band

Microsoft unveiled the second Band at the company’s hardware event on October 6 and since then the company has already released updates supposed to improve its overall performance, but also to add some new features that weren’t previously available.

Most recently, Microsoft rolled out a new firmware version that adds reminders to get up and move a little bit after standing for too long, a feature that’s clearly helpful for those working at a desk all day long. Moreover, Microsoft Band 2 has received support for music controls, so in case you’re listening to your favorite tracks and want full control from your wrist, the smart wristband can do that too.

The new Band comes with a curved display that’s supposed to make it more comfortable than the first version. But as we’ve told you in our Microsoft Band 2 review, the device isn’t exactly as comfortable as you’d expect it to be, and it’s better to wear it on the inside of the wrist, especially if you wish to use it 24/7 to monitor not only exercises but also heart rate and sleep.
