As we reported to you yesterday, Windows 10 Mobile build 10536 is the next version of the operating system that will be released to Windows insiders, and a few hours ago, Gabriel Aul, head of Microsoft’s testing program, confirmed that this would launch on Friday.

Windows 10 Mobile build 10536 fixes the majority of bugs found in the previous build, Aul explains, and is expected to bring significant improvements in terms of performance and stability, especially because we’re get really close to the date when the final operating system is set to debut.

According to people close to the matter, Microsoft plans to debut Windows 10 Mobile in mid-October, together with new devices, including the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, supposed to demonstrate its full capabilities.

So build 10536 is a major step towards this critical moment for Microsoft, which means it should run more smoothly than its predecessors regardless of your device.

Only available for fast ring users

What’s also important to note is that Windows 10 Mobile build 10536 will only be released to users enrolled in the fast ring of the Windows Insider program, as Microsoft says that there still are some bugs in this version and the slow track will only get it once these are fixed.

Such a thing is a little bit unexpected, given the fact that Microsoft needed so much time to release a new build of Windows 10 Mobile, and users participating in the slow ring of the Insider program haven’t received an update for almost two months.

But with a little luck, build 10536 could work a lot more smoothly than the older versions, so slow ring users could get it too.

The rollout will start on Friday morning in the United States, so charge your phones, back up your data, and get ready for a new bug-hunting session.
